BETHESDA, MD () Kicking off Imagination Stage’s bold, brave, and creative season is The Night Fairy, a play based on the book by popular Baltimore author and Newberry Medal winner Laura Amy Schlitz. Directed by Jeremy Skidmore, The Night Fairy is a tale of big adventure in a miniature world in which a night fairy discovers a renewed sense of creativity, diplomacy, and resilience after being attacked by a bat.
“Diary of a Wimpy Kid” meets “Donnie Darko” in the latest offering at Studio Theater Second Stage. The enigmatically named “Moth” is Southern Gothic, but very Southern. In fact, it hails from below the equator as a rare example of Australian theater in this area.
