Man arrested and charged with murder

Police this weekend arrested and charged a local man with the murder of Marc St. Aubin from earlier this month.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division arrested Tavon Antonio Miles, age 26, of the 19600 block of Framingham Drive in Gaithersburg, with the homicide of Marc St. Aubin that occurred on March 3.

On March 3 at approximately 10:30 p.m., 4th District officers responded to a residence in the 15800 block of Laughlin Lane for the report of a shooting. Arriving officers found an adult male deceased in the driveway.  The victim was identified as Marc St. Aubin, age 23, of that residence.  An autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.  The victim had blunt force injuries and a stab wound.  A holster was located along the small of the victim’s back.  That handgun has not been recovered.


Detectives release photo of indecent exposure suspect

Detectives from the Family Crimes Division- Child Exploitation Unit continue to investigate an indecent exposure incident that occurred on Sunday, March 16.  The victim is a five-year-old female.  Investigators are releasing a photograph of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.


Cops close I-270 to catch a bank robber

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred this morning in Rockville.

This morning, at approximately 10:02 a.m., 1st District officers and Rockville City Police officers responded to the Wells Fargo bank located at 404 King Farm Boulevard for a report of an armed robbery.


Baltimore cop arrested in MoCo animal cruelty case

Thursday officers from the Montgomery County Police-Animal Services Division arrested Alec Eugene Taylor, age 27, of the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring, for intentionally and cruelly killing a seven-month-old puppy.  Taylor is being charged with aggravated animal cruelty and abuse or neglect of an animal.

On February 28 at approximately 11:10 a.m., Montgomery County police officers and animal services officers were called to a residence in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring.  The complainant, Taylor’s girlfriend, stated that Taylor had beaten and killed their seven-month-old Jack Russell Terrier named Rocko.
